Wedding Toastmaster For a Islamic Walima at Quendon Hall Essex
Going through my images of events I have done, I came across these. I attended, as a Master of Ceremonies and Toastmaster, at a beautiful Walima at Quendon Hall, Essex in the company of Jessica the Bollywood violinist, banqueting by Mint Caterers.
What is a Walima?
Walima is an Islamic term that refers to a marriage reception or feast that is hosted by the groom after the wedding ceremony. It is a tradition in many Muslim cultures to have a Walima as a way of celebrating the union of the bride and groom with their families and friends. The Walima is usually held after a period of time has passed since the wedding day, and it is considered a formal announcement of the marriage. The event can be lavish or simple depending on the means of the groom, but it is typically a joyful and festive occasion where guests are served a meal and socialize with one another.
