I was privileged to be Toastmaster at the 2015 Chatham House Prize ceremony, presented by HRH The Princess Royal to Dr Joanne Liu, President of Médecins Sans Frontières.
The photographs show:
- I remember our conversation was friendly but the picture suggests otherwise..
- Acting as Master of Ceremonies
- Dr Joanne Liu made a beautiful acceptance speech which honoured those of her colleagues who were killed and injured at the hospital in Kunduz and those who lost their lives during the Ebola crisis.
- This is why we Toastmasters wear red, I am reminded by my colleague Geoff Harris.
